出島に位置する長崎県美術館の開館10周年を記念した祝い菓子BISCUI10 (ビスケット)。商品は平戸のお菓子のアトリエ・プティタプティさんとの共同開発です。

2015年9月5日発売開始。長崎県美術館ミュージアムショップにて、春、秋、冬の期間の販売となります。手づくりのため入荷は少数ずつですが、ご予約、おとりよせ、熨斗がけ、ラッピングに対応。お祝い、贈り物、お土産に、シーンに合わせてお楽しみいただけます。

長崎にとって記念の年が重なる2015年に、改めて街を観る機会を頂いたことを感謝しています。このお菓子がひと時の笑顔と会話をつくり、誰かが街を知るきっかけとなったらいいなと思います。10周年おめでとうございます。

In 2015 the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum celebrated 10 years since its opening.
The museum looks out over Nagasaki port, an historical place that was once the entryway to into Japan for new things, new ways, and new people from overseas.

An array of cultures crossed the oceans to arrive in Nagasaki, where many went on to impact Japanese culture. Things that started off in Japan via Nagasaki are referred to as “Nagasaki-koto-hajime” (beginning in Nagasaki). Some such things include the introduction of sugar and biscuits (cookies).

The gift item “Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum BISCUI10” (read like “biscuit” in Japanese) was created in celebration of the museum’s 10 year anniversary in 2015. It was made as part of a collaborative effort between the designer Azusa Kawaji and the Hirado Nagasaki shop petit a petit.

The biscuit comes in 10 designs, all based on “Nagasaki-koto-hajime” shapes. They also come in both salty cocoa and salty plain flavors. Each is careful baked by confectioners and uses an accent of Nagasaki sea salt.

We hope that the future will also see many more “Nagasaki-koto-hajime” items take off from Nagasaki. Let’s celebrate to that with some of these biscuits.
